Are you a confident individual with experience in Laser Scanning with a passion for travel?

If so, we present the opportunity to work for one of the leading design and survey agencies in the UK who are proud to have supported many well-known clients since 1998 working across various sectors and different countries. Working on sites in various locations including high streets, shopping centers, retail parks, train stations, petrol stations, airports, and universities.

Duties & Requirements

  • Attend sites in the UK and Europe to perform 3D laser scanning
  • Conduct measured building/retail surveys to produce floor plans, elevations and sections
  • Liaise with clients both on site and in office
  • Schedule works, arranging travel and accommodation
  • Provide general support to management by being flexible.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating, collaborating with clients, colleagues, and management.

  • Participate in all essential and required training to carry out your role efficiently.
  • Participate in and attend department or company meetings as required
  • Will involve working away from home depending on client site location and is usually between 1 and 4 days per week. Some overseas travel will be required All expenses paid

Skills, Experience & Licenses:

  • Have a good understanding of 2D CAD plans, to refer to when out on-site surveying.
  • Be able to sketch up your surroundings and mark areas on a plan for reference back in office based on what you see on site.
  • Be able to organise your time efficiently as a week can consist of multiple clients’ jobs around the UK and occasionally Europe.
  • Have great communication skills.
  • A fully clean driving license.
  • Must have a passport to allow travel to various locations when required.
  • Be flexible to stay away for the majority of the working week (Mon-Fri) even at short notice and for potentially long periods of time.
  • CSCS accreditation and Asbetos Awareness training is beneficial
  • Understanding 2D CAD plans is hugely beneficial.
  • Being able to use AutoCAD is beneficial but not essential.
  • Experience using laser scanning equipment (Leica Cyclone or ReCap)

Location and Hours:

  • Earls Colne, Essex- office based when not out on site, so must be within travelling distance.
  • Monday- Thursday 8.30-5pm, Friday 8.30-4.30pm (39.5hrs a week). Within this role a flexible approach will be required to manage your 39.5 weekly hours.
